Debate Contract Shows 2 Parties Agree to Exclude 3rd Parties

Oct 16, 12 Debate Contract Shows 2 Parties Agree to Exclude 3rd Parties

Invitations to the After Party

Time has released a full version of the debate contract signed by both the Romney and Obama campaigns, that outlines the rules for the upcoming debates. Among those clauses are the agreed upon exclusion of 3rd parties from the debates, if the candidate does not meet the selection criteria established by the partisan commission on debates.  And this country wonders why we are constantly left with the lesser of two evils votes?  They keep it that way!

Other rules outlined in the contract?

No challenges to the other candidate for additional debates.

Debate topics are predetermined and can’t be detoured from.

The candidates will participate in only 4 debates, all sponsored by the partisan commission on debates covered in another ETP article here: http://www.endtheparty.com/ever-wondered-why-we-only-have-2-debate-contestants/

No props, charts or resources.

Candidates can’t ask each other questions.

The commission determines the order of the questions.

The candidates cannot propose pledges to other candidates.

No audience participation is allowed, except where agreed upon, with no opportunity for follow-up.

Questions will be pre-screened and selected by the commission.
